Job Summary
Develop and implement robust government engagement strategies with ministries, industry associations, and local governments to strengthen high-level communication platforms for Amgen and China. Manage government issues impacting company business while building organizational capability and fostering a culture of performance and innovation. Actively support direct reports through mentorship, direction, and opportunities for high-potential colleagues. Report to the VA&P Head and collaborate cross-functionally with strategic planning, medical, marketing, and sales teams. Requires a Master's degree, ten years of relevant experience, and deep knowledge of Chinese government structures and pharmaceutical regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 10 years of job related experience
- In depth knowledge of government affairs/policy/advocacy
- Establishes relationships and trust while collaborating cross-functionally
- Knowledge on regulation of pharmaceutical products
- Knowledge in pharmaceutical industry and understanding on China govt organization and running
- Strong acumen on healthcare reform and business
- Capability of translation from policy to business impact
- Relevant therapeutic areas knowledge or science background
- Strategic planning skill
- Skilled in govt official engagement
- Open, cooperative and flexible mind-set
- Teamwork ability
- Leadership/facilitation ability for cross functional work
- Proficient English skills in both oral and written
Desired Qualifications
- At least 5 years in Government Affairs at pharmaceutical company or industry association
