Job Summary
Senior Manager, Government Affairs – Political Strategy and Programs responsible for Enterprise political engagement strategy, governance, and execution across Cox’s portfolio. Lead multi-year PAC/Political giving strategy (CoxPAC), develop governance frameworks, oversight, and reporting; align political programs with enterprise objectives; support federal/state advocacy, track political dynamics, and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders. Role involves budget/operating plan development, program priorities, compliance with FEC requirements, and integration of lobbying activities with policy priorities. Partner with Government Affairs leadership to ensure transparency, accountability, and scalable processes; represent Cox externally at events and maintain relationships with trade groups and peer companies. Requires experience in campaign finance compliance, external counsel collaboration, and ability to drive executive-level communications and presentations to influence policy and business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience setting and driving political engagement strategy with demonstrated ability to manage complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, tight deadlines, and compliance-sensitive workflows.
- Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience.
- Nondegreed candidate will have 12+ years of experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive-ready materials and presentations.
