Job Summary
The Government Affairs Policy Analyst at LG Electronics will assist in implementing the legislative and regulatory agenda, supporting advocacy initiatives at local, state, and federal levels. Responsibilities include developing a legislative policy agenda, identifying business opportunities and risks from pending initiatives, engaging with trade associations, drafting policy materials, and representing LG at industry events. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of the political process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of Capitol Hill, executive branch, or previous government relations experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
Desired Qualifications
- Deep understanding of the legislative and political process
- Experience in energy, trade, tax and other relevant issue areas
- Experience working with trade associations, industry groups, and coalitions
- Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent writing capability (i.e. briefing documents, reports, policy analysis)
