Job Summary
Develop and execute government affairs strategies to shape a predictable, patient-centered policy environment in Poland. Monitor, analyze, and engage on key legislative developments impacting patient access and market conditions. Build and maintain trusted relationships with government institutions, policymakers, and healthcare authorities while representing AbbVie in external forums. Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical, Legal, Communications, and Commercial teams to align messaging and ensure compliant execution of external affairs activities. Proactively identify strategic issues, develop advocacy positions, and translate policy trends into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field such as public policy, law, political science, economics, public administration, health policy, or a related discipline
- 5–8 years of professional experience in environments directly involved in public policy shaping, preferably gained within public institutions, ministerial or parliamentary offices, political advisory roles, regulatory bodies, trade associations, think tanks, media, or other policy-facing stakeholder organizations
- Strong strategic mindset and business acumen with analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills, with the ability to operate in a complex, fast-paced, and evolving environment
- Demonstrated exposure to policymaking, stakeholder influence, and public affairs dynamics
- Strong understanding of policy development processes, institutional decision-making, and stakeholder landscapes
- Proven ability to build and maintain credible relationships with senior stakeholders across government, public sector, and broader policy ecosystems
- Strong strategic communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy issues into clear, credible, and compliant messages
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management, issue analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization while managing multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion
- Fluency in English at executive/business level
