Job Summary

Secure high-impact locations for bus stops and stations by leveraging government relationships and private-sector negotiation skills. Build and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, municipal councils, and regulatory bodies to support business growth. Lead region strategy and align commercial objectives with government policies by identifying opportunities and mitigating regulatory risks. Represent the company in discussions with transportation authorities and media, preparing materials for hearings and public consultations. Lead site acquisition, ensuring compliance with zoning, permitting, and safety standards across jurisdictions. Develop partnerships with businesses, transit agencies, and property owners to enhance station access and amenities. Serve as the primary contact for station-related and government relations matters, advocating for the company in infrastructure planning forums. Manage up to two direct reports and handle up to 30% business travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Communications or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, including work with government entities
  • Demonstrated success in owning business strategy and securing agreements with government agencies or private stakeholders to support business growth
  • 2+ years of project management experience with strong knowledge of transportation regulations and public transit systems
  • 1+ years of people management experience or experience leading cross-functional teams with in-direct reporting lines
  • Skilled in negotiation, stakeholder management, and analyzing policies to identify risks and opportunities
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with experience presenting to senior officials and business leaders
  • Familiarity with real estate transactions, land-use planning, and infrastructure development
  • Up to 30% business travel as needed
  • Up to 30% travel as business needs arise

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with RFPs and grant writing is a plus but not required
