Job Summary
Governance and Contracts Specialist in Toronto (hybrid). Responsible for owning CFIB’s contract and governance processes: maintaining central contract and policy registers, coordinating reviews and approvals, updating templates, tracking deadlines, ensuring compliance, managing insurance records, regulatory filings, and privacy incident documentation. Requires a paralegal diploma or certificate (or equivalent experience) and 2–4 years in contract/ governance support; must work within structured policy frameworks using Microsoft 365 tools.
Required Qualifications
- Paralegal diploma, legal administration certificate, or equivalent experience working with legal or compliance documentation in a corporate or not-for-profit environment
- 2–4 years of experience in contract administration, legal administration, compliance coordination, or governance support
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review documents and escalate issues appropriately
- Experience managing contract registers, policy inventories, compliance documentation, or regulatory filing calendars
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with privacy legislation, corporate filings, and insurance/regulatory requirements in not-for-profit/association environments
- Exposure to risk management frameworks and experience with AI tools or workflow automation
