Job Summary
Design, build, and ship full-stack product features end-to-end across frontend and backend systems using TypeScript, React, and Node.js. Engage directly with customers to understand their problems and incorporate feedback into product improvements. Set technical direction and patterns within your product area, building intuitive interfaces and APIs that help users trust AI-powered workflows. Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability as the platform grows. Own features with real autonomy, taking fuzzy customer problems and shipping without hand-holding. This end-to-end ownership occurs without product managers, allowing technical leads to work directly with customers on mission-critical AI workflows for government contractors.
Required Qualifications
- NY-based, on-site
- U.S. person who can legally handle ITAR/federal data
- 2–6 years of professional software engineering experience
- Startup-heavy with founding or early-stage background followed by a Series A/B
- Strong full-stack engineer comfortable across React/Next.js frontends and Node.js backend service APIs
- TypeScript as a hard requirement
- Owns features end-to-end with real autonomy
- Product-minded and customer-facing engineer who obsesses over usability
- Sound engineering judgment with solid architectural instincts
- Strong GitHub contribution history
- Exceptional GitHub activity (3,000-5,000 contributions/year pre-2024)
- Experience building AI-powered or LLM-enabled product features
- Experience with government contracting or public-sector software
- Experience with complex integrations and syncing with external systems
- Founding engineer or early-stage startup background
- Ex-athlete (especially D1 level)
