Job Summary
Manage daily operations of the Gourmet Market by selecting and developing team members, enforcing sanitary practices, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational standards. Adhere to company standards to increase sales and minimize costs across food, beverage, supply, and labor expenses while maintaining accurate inventory and budget control. Train new front-of-house and back-of-house employees, delegate supply ordering tasks, and respond to guest complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into return customers. Assist in menu planning, develop staff through ongoing feedback, and maintain professional image standards including uniform appearance and kitchen cleanliness. Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support catering events and ensure efficient guest service.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service and managerial skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- At least two years of experience in retail administration preferably in market management, with increasing levels of responsibility required
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Available for work assignments outside of Manager's customary work schedule. This may include evenings, catering events, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration preferred
