Job Summary
Manage daily operations of the market by selecting team members, training front of house and back of house staff, and enforcing sanitary practices for food handling. Adhere to company standards to increase sales while minimizing costs for food, beverage, supply, utilities, and labor. Perform weekly and monthly inventories, update beverage prices, and maintain accurate cash management controls. Assist in menu planning and meal specials, investigate food quality complaints, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Maintain professional image, proper uniforms, and a safe working environment by completing accident reports promptly if injuries occur. Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations, including evenings, catering events, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service and managerial skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- At least two years of experience in retail administration preferably in market management, with increasing levels of responsibility required
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Available for work assignments outside of Manager's customary work schedule. This may include evenings, catering events, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration preferred
