Job Summary
Design, deploy, and manage GCP foundational components including BigQuery, Secret Manager, Vertex AI, VPCs, Cloud Storage, and Cloud IAM. Execute large-scale data migrations to GCP using industry best practices and tools like Migrate for Compute Engine. Implement secure cloud architectures compliant with federal requirements and Zero Trust principles while monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing costs. Requires 3 to 5 years of cloud engineering experience with 2+ years focused on GCP, proficiency in Terraform and CI/CD, and an active Top Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering
- at least 2 years focused hands-on with Google Cloud Platform
- Proven experience executing cloud migrations (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or refactoring)
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE)
- Active Top Secret (TS) or Interim TS security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification
- Prior experience working on federal or DoD cloud migration projects
