Job Summary
Deliver exceptional customer service to Job Connection participants and the public by providing job search strategies, conducting work readiness assessments, and delivering in-person and virtual trainings. Manage daily operations including answering calls, scheduling, filing, and tracking confidential information while maintaining the Job Connection Calendar and special projects. Support workforce development programs by recruiting participants, preparing timecards, generating outcome reports, and arranging bus passes for customers. Collaborate with the Marketing Specialist to ensure signage and materials are current and maintain partnerships with external community partners and hiring managers. Maintain robust inventory of program materials and conduct data entry using platforms like Caseworthy and Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Two years recent and relevant experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively present written and verbal information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Proficiency with Internet and other business digital platforms
- Current regular Oregon Driver's License (California Driver's License for California employees)
- Valid full driver's license (not a permit, temporary or provisional license) for at least the last 3 years
- Clean driving record
- Insurance
- Reliable independent transportation
- Ability to drive locally and regionally year-round
- Medium physical demand level
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to talk and hear
- Ability to walk and/or stand for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push/pull and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to kneel, stoop, and bend frequently
- Ability to push heavy, wheeled carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and other material handling equipment with loads weighing up to 250 pounds
- Close vision
