Job Summary
Goods In / Warehouse Forklift Operator responsible for receiving, unloading, and inspecting deliveries using forklifts and warehouse equipment; verifying deliveries against purchase orders; safely storing stock across freezer, coolroom, and dry storage; following FIFO procedures; operating forklifts and pallet jacks; performing daily equipment checks and reporting safety concerns; monitoring product quality, temperatures, and food safety compliance; maintaining accurate warehouse records and supporting stocktakes and housekeeping; adhering to workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Forklift License/Certification.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and inventory control practices.
- Experience with stock receivals, stock management, and FIFO processes.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety, and quality standards is highly regarded.
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, cold storage, or distribution environments is preferred.
