Job Summary
Transport eligible clients safely, courteously, and on schedule to medical appointments, employment sites, childcare facilities, and social services. Assist passengers of all ages with vehicle entry and exit, escort riders to their destinations, and properly install child safety seats before each trip. Operate company smartphones and GPS to navigate routes and record ride data in real time, while communicating proactively with dispatch regarding delays or issues. Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain interior cleanliness, and comply with all traffic laws and organizational standards. Work shifts between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with a valid driver's license and clean record required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no CDL required)
- Proficiency with smartphones, GPS, and basic digital tools
- Strong communication skills
- Personable, patient, and friendly demeanor with riders of all ages and backgrounds
- Excellent customer service skills, with a pleasant telephone manner
- Availability to work shifts between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Must pass a background check, Vermont child protection registry check, and adult abuse registry check
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in passenger transportation, paratransit, or rideshare driving
- Prior experience working with children
