Job Summary
Golf & Turf Diesel - Service Technician role focused on servicing John Deere Golf & Turf equipment (mowers, compact tractors, utility vehicles, aeration and spraying equipment, and related machinery). Responsibilities include performing basic and complex diagnostics, conducting pre-delivery inspections, operating and maintaining setup tools, adhering to safety regulations, completing required reports, tracking time and materials, and participating in Service Education Training programs. Requires 4+ years of service experience, knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems related to dealership machinery, and ownership of tools. Salary range is $33.00-$40.00 per hour with potential monthly bonuses; schedule is Monday–Friday with 40 hours plus overtime; location in Stockton, CA.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Sound knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by the Dealership
- Supplied with own tools and toolbox
- Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes
- Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow the manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to maintain labor performance and billable hours according to Service Leaders
- Knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment, a plus

- Ability to read manufacturer instructions and follow safety rules
