Job Summary
Promote and maintain store culture by educating customers on golf product knowledge, terminology, and merchandise promotions. Evaluate customer needs, apply expertise in equipment features, and assist with floor moves, merchandising, and inventory management. Operate launch monitor and simulator equipment to provide valuable data during in-store experiences. Research merchandise availability via computer database, requisition stock from the stockroom, and take inventory where needed. Perform any other duties as assigned by management. This part-time role at The Golf Mart offers base pay plus commission, flexible scheduling, and 401(k) matching. Candidates must have golf knowledge and be able to work varied hours.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store
- Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis
- Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
- Golf knowledge/background
