Job Summary
The Golf Professional at DICK’S Sporting Goods is responsible for building a student base by creating safe and engaging environments for golfers, providing high-quality instruction, and establishing lasting relationships with students. The role involves identifying strengths and weaknesses in students' swings and acting as a trusted advisor while continuously seeking opportunities for self-improvement as a teacher. Additionally, the Golf Professional participates in community outreach to promote various services, collaborates with Certified Fitters, and enhances the learning experience for students.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1-3 years experience
- 3+ years knowledge of club-fitting through experience and/or OEM training
Desired Qualifications
- PGA of America Class A or LPGA member in good standing
- Apprentice Level 1,2,3 or interest in becoming a PGA/LPGA Member through PGA/LPGA Associate Program
- Trackman Level 1 & 2
- Ability to multi-task & work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for golf equipment & related technology
- Desire for continued learning (self) and teaching others
- Stays current with industry trends
