Job Summary
As an Interbay Golf Professional, the role entails teaching the fundamentals of the golf swing, leveraging technology for player development, and coordinating golf clinics for both adults and juniors. Responsibilities include maintaining the driving range and golf shop, promoting golf activities, creating lesson plans, and conducting private and group lessons. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of golf, a Bachelor’s degree, and preferably be a Class A member of PGA/LPGA with certifications such as NG360, TPI, or AMPD. The position requires at least three years of experience in the golf industry and entails working flexible hours, including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university
- Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Member or Registered Associate in good standing of the PGA of America
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Class A member of PGA/LPGA preferred
- Certification in NG360, TPI or AMPD
- The Pursuit of further Instruction accreditation and Knowledge is highly desirable
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in the golf industry preferred
- Ability to be on feet for majority of shift and lift 25 lbs. as part of daily duties
- Willingness to work required shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Possess an engaging, positive, and highly motivated personality
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
- Exceptional interpersonal, customer service
