Golf Course Outside Attendant

Job Summary
Maintain a fun, welcoming, safe, secure, clean, and orderly golfing environment by mowing all greens, fairways, and tee boxes, adjusting holes and tee boxes daily, and managing sprinkling and irrigation. Clean up the course and facility by picking up garbage, sticks, and brush, while operating, cleaning, and maintaining all equipment including mowers and irrigation systems. Act as a course ranger to address concerns and report unsafe conditions, assisting with vehicles and small engines as assigned. Perform repetitive tasks involving climbing stairs, standing, bending, and lifting up to 70 lbs in varying weather conditions. Prior commercial golf course experience is preferred, with a course opening April 1, 2026, weather permitting.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, positive, dependable and punctual.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a successful team while accomplishing tasks and assignments without assistance.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions.
- Prior grounds/landscaping experience required.
- Demonstrated ability for vehicle and small engine maintenance and repair.
- Physical ability to lift 25 lbs. minimum with a preference given to those able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to and work with people of all ages, races, and social-economic backgrounds.
- Demonstrated use of tact, judgment and discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Highly motivated and solution oriented with a high degree of integrity, ethics and dedication to the mission of the College.
- Must be adaptable and flexible to changes in tasks, processes and locations.
- Must be able to perform repetitive body mechanics, including but not limited to climbing stairs, standing, stretching, twisting, bending, crouching and kneeling.
- Prolonged standing and sitting
- Repetitive stretching, twisting, bending, and lifting along with working on ladders, roofs and crawl spaces.
- Must be able to adjust to differing weather conditions as nearly all work is outdoors.
- Occasional lifting: 50 -70 lbs.; Regular lifting on a daily basis: 25 – 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior commercial golf course experience preferred.
