Job Summary
Maintain logs for machine operation, maintenance, and gas usage while performing daily tasks to keep the maintenance facility clean and safe. Clean machinery after each use, inspect all equipment for deficiencies, and report issues to the Equipment Technician. Execute specific tasks including line trimming trees and shrubs, edge cart paths, ball mark repair, divot filling, sod laying, and operating utility vehicles, blowers, and backhoes. Adhere to safety standards by wearing required protective clothing and following the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual. Wear personal protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- The ability to understand and follow directions and operate golf course machinery
- Required to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Line trim trees, shrubs, posts, etc
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Edge cart paths, sprinkler heads, bunkers, etc
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Ball mark repair
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Divot filling
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Sod laying
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Utility vehicle operations
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Blower operations
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Hand raking bunkers
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Walk top dress equipment operation
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Backhoe operation
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Miscellaneous hand tool operations
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Be thoroughly trained for the procedures at each task prior to performing task
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task
- Be able to perform specific tasks relative to Equipment Operator I training including: Required to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards
