Golf Course Maintenance Operator

Job Summary
Operate light and heavy motorized equipment including greens mowers, triplex tee mowers, and bunker grooming machines to maintain golf course grounds to high standards. Edge cart paths and bunkers, mow fairways, greens, tees, and approaches, and use weed eaters, string trimmers, blowers, and hand tools for tree and bunker trimming. Change cups and perform all duties assigned by the Superintendent. This role requires regular lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety practices including wearing gloves and boots. A high school diploma or equivalent, plus knowledge of safe equipment operation and maintenance tools, is required.
Required Qualifications
- Requires knowledge of the safe operation of trucks, tractors and other motorized equipment.
- Knowledge of maintenance tools and ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Adheres to standard safety practices' including but not limited to wearing gloves, boots, etc.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
