Job Summary
Operate small equipment and perform hands-on grooming of the golf course and grounds to maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for members and guests. Keep all machinery in good, clean working condition and report any equipment issues to the Mechanic or Assistant Superintendent. Complete assigned duties promptly while demonstrating courtesy to all visitors and strictly adhering to safety procedures. This role requires moderate physical work, including lifting up to 80 lbs., and is available as a full-time or part-time position at Glynlea Country Club, a championship course designed by PGA TOUR icon Jim Furyk.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of golf course maintenance experience
- Good organizational and verbal skills
- Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
- Ability to monitor and develop subordinates
- Ability to visually monitor operation areas
- Ability to write and read member communication
- Ability to perform moderate physical work
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. frequently
- Ability to lift 20 lbs. constantly
- Ability to bend, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 4 hours without sitting
- Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds
- Ability to sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes
- Must be able to perform any on the job-related duties as requested
