Job Summary
Greet golfers upon arrival and provide a warm, professional welcome, then escort guests throughout the property to the golf shop while offering directions, answering questions, and ensuring a seamless experience. Share relevant course information, including conditions and details, to enhance the golfing experience. Monitor, manage, and record pace of play to support efficient course operations, and coordinate with Golf Shop staff to ensure guest compliance with club rules, dress codes, and beverage policies. Visually inspect golf carts, clubs, and the outside operations area for cleanliness, and operate golf carts as needed. This role supports the Head Golf Professional and all club staff to create an unrivaled guest experience at Cabot-managed properties in Nevada, Mississippi, and Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong knowledge of the game of golf
- Ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions independently
- Ability to visually inspect golf carts, golf clubs, and outside operations area for cleanliness
- Ability to perform moderate physical work; may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly; performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting
- Ability to operate golf carts
- Must be available for outdoor weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of previous experience in the golf industry
- 2+ years of previous experience in a customer service or customer-facing role
- Passionate about the game of golf
