Job Summary
Golf Course General Manager at Paradise Valley Golf Club in Medicine Hat, AB, responsible for promoting a Customer First culture while maximizing sales and controlling expenses across Golf, Top Tracer Range, and F&B operations. Leads and develops the leadership team to meet targets, manages staff scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and compliance with GolfNorth Properties and Paradise Valley policies, oversees marketing programs, guest experience, and events, and ensures high standards of service, safety, and brand presentation. Requires extensive hospitality experience, supervisory background, and strong customer service and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in the hospitality industry
- Minimum of 3 year work experience in a supervisory role in a hospitality environment
- Golf Course management/ F&B management degree/diploma preferred, but applicants with extensive practical experience will be considered
- Proven excellent customer service skills
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities
- Excellent time management and prioritization
- Ability to train and motivate staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Diplomacy and conflict resolution
- Ability to learn and adapt to sales software
- Meticulous records maintenance
- Knowledge of quality, customer service and health & safety standards
- Ability to plan and organize work and ensure completion
- Energetic, proactive, and customer-focused
