Job Summary
Facilities Manager at The Golf Club at Newcastle oversees upkeep and routine building maintenance, including preventive maintenance of clubhouse systems (HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, electrical, plumbing), minor repairs, custodial duties, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Will manage the facilities team (recruiting, training, scheduling, performance), handle budget adherence, equipment and supplies purchasing, payroll scheduling, licensing and permits compliance, and coordination with residents, guests, and contractors. Requires ability to communicate professionally, complete work orders promptly, and participate in OSHA/safety training; may provide oversight across multiple properties. Technical proficiency in HVAC-R, electrical, and plumbing, plus strong operations, budgeting, and team leadership capabilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
