Job Summary
Golf Course Assistant in Training at Branson Hills Golf Club is a developmental role focused on hands-on golf course maintenance, operations, and leadership development. The role involves spray and chemical application (fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, pesticides), safe handling and calibration of spray equipment, and maintaining chemical records in compliance with pesticide regulations. Daily maintenance tasks include mowing, trimming, edging greens/tees/fairways/rough, bunker and native-area upkeep, course setup (cup cutting, tee marker placement, signage), irrigation monitoring and minor repairs. Participation in major maintenance projects (aerification, topdressing, verticutting, renovations) and operating maintenance equipment. Training emphasizes supervision, task delegation, scheduling, problem-solving related to turf conditions, and leadership development alongside supervisory staff. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Missouri pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain, valid driver’s license, ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors with PPE.
