Job Summary
Specialist, Data Science and Analytics in Hong Kong responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources (operational, customer, market data) and performing minimum data engineering tasks to ensure data quality. Responsibilities include analyzing logistics operations (delivery routes, driver efficiency, cost optimization), understanding customer behavior to improve retention, conducting spatial data analysis to optimize routes, developing and maintaining dashboards/reports (Tableau, Power BI) to visualize KPIs, presenting findings to stakeholders, building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and data schemas in SQL databases to support analytics, automating data workflows using tools like Airflow, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decisions. Strong emphasis on SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn), data visualization, ETL/ELT concepts, and data infrastructure, with fluency in English and Cantonese.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field is highly preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in data science and analytics
- Expert proficiency in SQL
- Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and automation tools (Airflow, Prefect, or cloud-native services)
- Good communication skills in English and Cantonese
- Experience with Git or another version control system
- Experience with real-time data analysis is a plus
- Experience with spatial data analysis is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
