GNETS Behavior Specialist

Job Summary
Design and monitor behavioral management programs for students within GNETS, coordinating intervention services with staff and stakeholders. Develop individual educational programs, conduct in-service training on behavior modification techniques, and assist instructional staff in creating functional behavior assessments and intervention plans. Provide developmental therapy support to the Autism Program while updating IEP reports and communicating student progress to parents and agencies. Liaise with external schools and state agencies to enhance intervention strategies and refer students for further evaluation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in educational related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience within an area of special education
- Experience in the development of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
- Prior experience coordinating behavior intervention programs in a K-12 public school environment
- Georgia Professional Certification at Teaching – 5 (T-5)
- Moderate level of judgment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills
- Proficiency with computer
