Job Summary
Hardware in the Loop and Embedded Engineer to advance Corvid's HIL systems for GNC. You will model and simulate high-speed aerospace vehicle dynamics in real-time, integrate flight-hardware with Corvid's flight computer, and expand HIL capabilities. Responsibilities include developing new vehicle dynamics models for real-time simulations, defining HIL requirements for integrating new flight hardware (actuators, datalinks, GPS receivers, seekers), performing V&V in real-time scenarios, and bridging desktop GNC algorithm simulations with flight hardware verification. Candidates should demonstrate experience in aerospace M&S, real-time algorithm performance, and hands-on simulation, with strong skills in C++, Python, Linux, and Git, plus GPS simulation and test bench instrumentation.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Active Secret/Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (Master's or PhD with GNC focus preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems engineering or HIL development/testing for GNC, robotics, or autonomous systems
- Proficiency with C++, Python, Linux, and Git
- Strong understanding of embedded systems (microcontrollers, embedded Linux) and modeling/simulation of aerospace vehicles; knowledge of Runge-Kutta integration
- Experience with GPS simulation and HIL/SIL testing and test bench instrumentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear requirements and documentation
