Job Summary
GNC Engineer for Satellite Power Systems on SpaceX's Starlink program. Responsibilities include developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining control systems for electrical power flow on Starlink satellites; improving health and performance insight of electrical power systems; analyzing satellite data to identify anomalous behavior; designing schemes to shield the vehicle from dangerous operation and protect algorithms from corruption; interfacing with software, reliability, and satellite operations teams. Required: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and professional experience in C/C++, Python, or Java. Preferred: Master's or PhD in physics or an engineering discipline; deep experience in linear closed-loop controls (state-space, frequency-domain), flexible body dynamics, reduced finite element models for control systems analysis, state estimation (Kalman filters, recursive least squares), embedded C++, Python, MATLAB, Simulink; spacecraft operations and flight software; strong problem-solving, self-direction, communication skills. ITAR-compliant work eligibility required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, physics, computer science or other STEM discipline
- Professional experience with one of the following coding languages; C/C++, Python, Java
