Job Summary
GNC Engineer on the UAV team responsible for designing and developing advanced guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, sensor fusion, and flight-control systems. Responsibilities include implementing state-of-the-art navigation and sensor fusion for UAVs, building filtering and estimation strategies, running extensive simulations (Monte Carlo, SITL, HITL), analyzing test flight data to refine performance, and supporting full-stack integration of GNSS, INS/IMU, localization, and fusion. The role also involves maintaining a flight-proven flight computer across multiple UAV platforms and working with embedded hardware using Python and C/C++, Gazebo, and open-source autopilots (PX4, ArduPilot). A master’s degree in engineering or computer science and at least 3 years of aerospace GNC experience are required; bonus FPV pilot hobbyist.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace GNC systems
- Education: Engineering school or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
- Proficient in Python and embedded C/C++
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo) and version control (Git)
- Familiarity with open-source autopilots (PX4, Ardupilot, Betaflight)
- Hands-on electronics and integration skills: debugging, soldering, harnessing
