Job Summary
Develop GNC algorithms, simulation models, and trajectories while analyzing ground test and flight data to verify system performance. Refine controllers and guidance algorithms to meet requirements, then build test automation across Simulink, hardware-in-the-loop, and integrated vehicles. Support launch operations from mission control and fulfill GNC responsibilities during the countdown. This role requires 3-5 years of aerospace vehicle GNC development experience and an advanced degree, with a base salary of $115,000-$140,000 in San Francisco. Applicants must comply with ITAR and export regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in aerospace vehicle GNC development and simulation
- advanced degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or equivalent
- experience with Matlab/Simulink and C++ or Python
- experience building controllers for rockets, drones, or robots
- experience implementing software interfaces and interpreting Interface Control Documents
- strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate ideas and give technical feedback
- ability to work in a fast-paced, self-driven, iterative startup environment
