GMK Agronomy Intern - Southwest, WI

Job Summary
Conduct hands-on agronomy field and operations work, including operating field research and crop monitoring equipment for scouting. Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products while assisting with facility and equipment maintenance and repair. Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships, and manage ordering, receiving, and inventory control. Obtain a CDL and commercial applicator's license with required endorsements. Work independently in extreme weather conditions, lifting up to 70 pounds, and travel overnight as necessary. Follow GROWMARK's Code of Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies.
Required Qualifications
- pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college or university and in good academic standing at time the internship begins
- ability to obtain a CDL and commercials applicator's license with required endorsements, a satisfactory driving record, and valid medical card
- valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary
- ability to lift 51-70 pounds as needed
- ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position
