Job Summary
GMD Sustainment and Repair Mod Tech performs assembly, disassembly, and modification of aerospace components to correct failures or implement changes, oversee assembly/overhaul, configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment, troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and conduct validation/testing and documentation to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance. The role requires travel up to 20% domestically, ability to work in confined spaces and lift ~35 lbs, and use of a respirator. Onsite work is required at Fort Greely, AK, within the Boeing GMD program, with security clearance and COI processes in place.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience with assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems
- Able to use a respirator or have been respirator certified
- Able and willing to travel up to 20% of the time domestically for offsite support and offsite training
- Able and willing to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, travel in silo basket (maximum load capacity of 275lbs)
- Willing and Able to work in confined spaces
- Lift loads approximately 35 pounds
