Job Summary
GMC Homeowner Support Representative acts as the vital link between customers and the manufacturer, ensuring clear communication and outstanding service. Responsibilities include guiding customers through product registration, clarifying warranty terms and business processes, and offering in-depth product knowledge. The role connects consumers with local HVAC dealers or contractors, including those authorized for Extended Service Agreement repairs, to ensure a seamless support experience. Daily duties include handling inquiries via phone, email, case forms, and chats; maintaining accurate records of customer interactions; assisting with registration and warranty explanations; troubleshooting to ensure customer satisfaction; and collaborating with internal teams to improve service processes. Strong customer service, de-escalation, data handling, and time-management skills are essential, as is proficiency with office software (Microsoft Excel and Word). Knowledge of HVAC industry and warranty processes is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1–3 years of progressive experience in warranty processes and preferably within HVAC industry
- 1–3 years of customer service experience
