Job Summary
Directs and controls the GM/HBC Department in a grocery store to achieve sales, profit, and customer-service goals. Trains, supervises, schedules, and assigns duties to GM/HBC Clerks; implements merchandising programs; writes variety orders; maintains stock levels and displays; conducts daily inventory and pricing adjustments; and ensures department cleanliness and organized shelves. Responsibilities include providing friendly customer service, resolving customer issues, managing stock rotation and expired items, and coordinating inventory and supply orders while adhering to store policies and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow company customer service procedures
- Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience
- Ability to interact with customers and co-workers
- Ability to work independently when necessary
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Prior experience as a clerk
