Job Summary
Diagnose and repair GM vehicle systems across engine performance, driveability, electrical, brakes, suspension, and HVAC; perform preventive maintenance inspections, oil changes, and lubrication; inspect vehicles for worn or unsafe components and report findings; diagnose and repair gasoline engines, drivetrain, powertrain components, transmissions, electronics, sensors, and related systems using GM diagnostic tools; road test vehicles to verify concerns and completed repairs; document repair findings, parts needed, and job status; support shop quality standards and maintain a clean, safe work area; requires 5+ years of hands-on automotive experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license (CDL a plus); proficient with shop tools and basic computer skills for repair records and diagnostics; willingness to travel to customer yards and training sites.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of practical experience in automotive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus
- Proficiency with shop tools and hand tools
- Basic computer skills for repair documentation, diagnostic systems, and maintenance records
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a professional approach to safety and quality
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
- Willingness to travel as needed to customer yards and training sites
