Job Summary
Executive Director, Global Transportation Group, responsible for overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls for a large open-ended real asset investment fund. Responsibilities include coordinating quarterly and annual financial reporting, managing internal and investor reporting, maintaining fund performance data and analyses, cash and liquidity management, capital calls and distributions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (Luxembourg, US GAAP, IFRS, Lux GAAP, and fund documents). Collaborates with investments, tax, and SPV finance teams; oversees vendor relationships and drives ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives; communicates with internal/external clients and stakeholders to support decision making. Requires ACA/ACCA or equivalent with extensive post-qualification experience, deep knowledge of fund accounting, strong technical accounting competencies, financial modelling, and excellent stakeholder-management and presentation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with considerable post qualified experience
- Experience in open and closed-ended commingled funds, limited partnerships, and operating company investments and up-to-date Fund accounting knowledge
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (including US GAAP, IFRS, Lux GAAP, Fair Market Value and Investment Entity accounting)
- Knowledge of financial modelling and real asset valuation methodologies; strong working excel knowledge
- Proven project management skills; ability to manage timelines and organize resources; ability to conduct effective presentations, facilitate meetings, and gain consensus around issues
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience in managing third party service providers and auditors
