Job Summary
Global Trade Compliance Manager responsible for leading trade compliance strategies for Moog's Space and Defense Group, ensuring compliance with ITAR/EAR/OFAC across domestic and international business. Acts as liaison between the SDG Regional Trade Compliance Manager and a global network of stakeholders (BD, Supply Chain, Contracts, Engineering, Finance) to drive alignment, prioritize trade requirements, and develop metrics/automation. Requires strong SME in U.S. export/import regulations, experience in a manufacturing/defense environment, and ability to travel domestically/internationally (up to ~2x per month). The role is hybrid with on-site work in Buffalo, NY; responsibility includes guidance on trade-related solutions, license applications/authorizations, and collaboration with leadership across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field
- Over seven (7) years of direct experience with export/import tasks and regulations
- Over three (3) years in program/project management
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (potentially 2 times per month)
- Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work on-site
- Experience with U.S. export/import regulations (ITAR, EAR, ATF, OFAC) or strong SME background in international trade compliance
- Ability to work with ERP and trade-specific tools (SAP, GTS, OCR EASE, SNAP-R, DECCS, ATF processes)
- Strong communication, training, and stakeholder-engagement skills
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project/Planner, Azure DevOps/Jira) and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
