Global Technology Liaison – Semiconductor R&D and Academic Collaboration

Job Summary
Lead global technology liaison activities with research institutes and universities across Europe and North America; identify mid- to long-term semiconductor technologies and nurture joint research programs and technical collaborations; act as the technical interface between external partners and Renesas internal teams; represent Renesas at international conferences and build a trusted global technology network; require solid semiconductor technical background (devices, process, circuits, materials, packaging, or systems) and hands-on experience coordinating end-to-end development with research institutes, universities, and public research organizations; strong communication skills in English for meetings, discussions, and written communication; experience in Europe and/or North America; willingness to work within a Japanese corporate culture that values collaboration and long-term relationships; PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant field; familiarity with joint research frameworks and government-funded programs; remote work option available per organization policy; location constraints lead to in-person work in Athens, Greece; typical role involves collaboration across CTO office, research partners, and internal stakeholders to shape strategic technology opportunities.
