Job Summary
Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions, current and deferred tax calculations, and journal entries under ASC 740. Coordinate global tax return preparation, transfer pricing documentation, and responses to tax audits and notices. Assist with indirect tax matters, forecast effective tax rates, and support external auditors during reviews. Identify process improvement opportunities, automate tax workflows, and collaborate with finance, legal, and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions. Work flexible hours to support global teams and manage domestic and international travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- CPA, Chartered Accountant, Enrolled Agent or equivalent professional certification
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Six to eight+ years of progressive corporate tax experience
- Public accounting experience
- Multinational industry experience
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Domestic and international travel
- Legally authorized to work in the US
Desired Qualifications
- IFRS experience
- Experience preparing or reviewing ASC 740 income tax provisions
- Experience coordinating U.S. federal and state income tax compliance
- Experience supporting international tax compliance and transfer pricing
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in a multinational manufacturing company
- Experience with SAP and tax reporting systems
- Experience working with external tax advisors and global compliance processes
- Familiarity with transfer pricing documentation and OECD guidelines
- Experience with tax technology, automation, or ERP implementations
- Ability to read, write, or speak Mandarin Chinese
- Experience with IFRS income tax accounting
- Experience with indirect taxes, including sales and use tax and VAT/GST
- Strong technical tax and accounting knowledge
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Collaborative team player with a customer-service mindset
- Comfortable working with global teams across multiple time zones
- Continuous improvement mindset with interest in automation and process optimization
