Global Sustainability Compliance Manager

Job Summary
Lead and shape ACT's global sustainability compliance strategy across renewable fuels, gases, and energy products; own certification audits, reporting, and maintenance across Americas, EMEA, and APAC; partner cross-functionally to identify risks/opportunities and enable informed decisions; develop and scale global compliance systems, governance, and processes; build and mentor a high-performing, global team of sustainability compliance experts; monitor regulatory developments and translate requirements into practical compliance strategies and operational practices; represent ACT in industry associations and regulatory forums to strengthen market position; drive a culture of compliance through policies, training, and continuous improvement programs; ensure accurate sustainability reporting and audit-ready certification integrity; support product lifecycle with strategic sustainability compliance guidance; strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills for engaging senior leaders, regulators, auditors, and external organizations.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
- 6–8+ years of experience in sustainability compliance, renewable fuels, renewable gas, energy markets, or a related regulated industry
- Strong expertise in sustainability certification and regulatory frameworks, including ISCC, REDcert, Better Biomass, RFS, LCFS, RPS, and REC programs
- Proven experience leading compliance audits, certification programs, and multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams in an international, fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical business solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience collaborating across functions, geographies, and external organizations
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous and evolving regulatory environments while driving process improvements and innovation
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the credibility to engage senior leaders, regulators, auditors, and industry representatives
- A proactive, coaching-oriented mindset with a passion for building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement
