Job Summary
Global Supply Manager, Raw Materials (Raptor) responsible for managing the supplier base for flight-critical raw materials across multiple alloys (Al, Stainless, Ni, Ti, Cu) and forms (plate, sheet, coil, bars, extrusions, wires). Lead cross-functional teams to ensure adequate manufacturing capacity, quality yield, and cost reduction; guide internal procurement and engineering on design for manufacturability, supplier scorecards, and lifecycle management; visit supplier facilities, negotiate contracts, and issue RFx packages; drive continuous improvement, total cost ownership, and on-time ramp-up for SpaceX programs (Falcon/Dragon/Raptor/Starship/Starlink). Travel up to 50% (international included); on-site in Hawthorne, CA; responsible for compliance with company policies and government regulations. Capabilities include vendor development, NPI, production procurement, manufacturing, and strong communication skills; ability to prioritize multiple programs and maintain enterprise-wide supply chain performance.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree and 4+ years of experience in Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material or production planning, Operations or supply chain management, or related fields; or a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in one or more of these areas; or 10+ years of experience in one or more of these areas
