Job Summary
Global Supply Manager, Pipeline and Gas (Starlink) leads end-to-end natural gas supply strategy, pipeline infrastructure development, and long-term contracting for SpaceX behind-the-meter power plant infrastructure. Responsibilities include defining gas supply strategy and pipeline roadmaps with engineers and finance, securing firm capacity and transportation agreements, negotiating long-term commercial agreements, leading pipeline project execution with EPCs and regulators, deploying predictive analytics and AI-driven demand forecasting to mitigate price volatility and supply disruptions, driving cost leadership through should-cost modeling and value engineering, and building strategic partnerships with gas suppliers and midstream operators. The role requires deep expertise in natural gas markets, pipeline operations, and energy procurement in high-growth environments, strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills, familiarity with gas scheduling and regulatory compliance, and a willingness to travel. ITAR considerations apply; the role is based in Austin, TX with onsite requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
- 6+ years in business/energy/supply chain/engineering OR 10+ years in related fields
- 5+ years in natural gas supply, pipeline capacity management, energy procurement, utilities, or power generation (gas/steam turbines)
- Strong negotiation, analytical, risk management, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with gas scheduling, demand forecasting, regulatory compliance (FERC/PHMSA), and precedent agreements for new pipeline capacity
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- This position is based in Austin, TX and requires onsite work
