Job Summary
Own RFQs, ensuring all commercial terms are agreed and documented before business initiation. Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement for PCBAs, FPCAs, and components, driving price and tooling negotiations to meet Best-In-Class expectations. Manage supplier relationships, including dispute resolution and performance scorecards, while partnering with engineering teams on design reviews and DFM discussions. Monitor global industry trends, track technology roadmaps, and mitigate supply risks to ensure Clear to Build status for BOM components. Lead vendor selection processes and cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and maintain supply continuity. Communicate key supply, cost, and quality issues to management with corrective action plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
- 3 years of working experience in a procurement/supplier management position
- Master's degree
- 2 years of working experience
- 1+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement with a focus on electronic components, rigid PCBA, Flexible Printed Circuit Assembly (FPCA), or electronics manufacturing
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Commodity Management/Procurement
- Basic understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes (SMT, through-hole, inspection, functional test, conformal coating, and final assembly)
- Basic understanding of electronic component sourcing
- Exposure to custom, build-to-order parts
- Familiarity with reading and updating supplier contract agreements
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
