Global Supply Manager, Datacenter Switches and Optics (Starlink)

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end sourcing for datacenter switches and optics (400G–1.5T and beyond) and own supplier management, vendor qualification, and performance to support SpaceX’s hyperscale networking hardware program. Responsibilities include defining commodity strategy and roadmaps with engineers, building and maintaining an approved vendor list, negotiating transformative commercial agreements with early access to pre-production silicon/optics, driving on-time delivery and lead-time compression, deploying predictive analytics and AI-driven demand forecasting, and achieving continuous cost leadership while upholding highest quality and reliability standards. Build a world-class supply base through strategic relationships, executive reviews, and cross-functional collaboration; establish KPIs for cost, quality, speed, and resilience; mentor cross-functional teams on supply chain best practices. This position is based in Palo Alto, CA and requires onsite work. Preferred experience includes hardware, semiconductors, datacenter infrastructure, and hyperscale environments; ITAR compliance and international travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in business, supply chain, engineering, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in global supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or commodity management with a focus on hardware, semiconductors, networking, or datacenter infrastructure

- ITAR REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship or national, lawful permanent resident (green card), refugee or asylee status, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State; travel as needed
