Job Summary
Global Supply Chain Data Scientist responsible for developing and deploying analytics, automation, and predictive models to improve logistics cost, service, and operational scalability across the global network. Lead cross-functional digital initiatives from concept to rollout, translating logistics problems into data products (dashboards, models, alerts) and ensuring solutions are implemented, adopted, and sustained through governance and change management. Responsibilities include providing data-driven insights and dashboards, building KPI views for warehouse and freight analytics, developing control-tower style analytics for early warning signals, driving automation with Python, SQL, and BI tools, and creating models for throughput, productivity forecasting, transportation analytics, and scenario planning. Emphasizes data quality, standardization, and reliability; partners with supply chain SMEs and digital stakeholders to align analytics with governance. Travel 25% referenced in posting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Typically, at least 8 years of experience in data science or equivalent work experience
- PMP certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong executive presence and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional work with strong program/project management discipline
