Job Summary
Global Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for supplier quality development and performance management, conducting audits and resolving nonconformities, and ensuring new part qualification during project development. Focuses on improving the efficiency of processes and tools for supplier quality data recording, processing, reporting, and feedback, and ensures effective communication between the supplier and DL to resolve quality issues. Learns state-of-the-art international quality standards and collaborates with R&D to address quality challenges. Requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical components (plastics, die-casting, metal, rubber), experience with ISO 9001, QC 7 tools, statistical analysis, Lean Six Sigma, and SAP/Excel proficiency, and the ability to work cross-functionally in an international environment with on-site site-visits in Shenzhen, China.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferable) or Material Engineering or Physics
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components (plastics, die-casting, metal, rubber)
- Knowledge of mechanical markets, manufacturing, tooling and quality trends
- ISO 9001 knowledge, certified lead auditor preferred; Lean Six Sigma a plus
- Ability to interact technically with R&D teams
- Experience with QC 7 tools and statistical analysis
- Strong collaboration and cross-group teamwork in international environments
- Ability to visit sites autonomously to resolve issues
- Strong Excel skills; SAP knowledge a plus
