Job Summary
Senior technical product development lead for commercial casualty insurance; designs, develops, and maintains complex insurance products including coverage forms, endorsements, and manuscripts; translates business needs into product solutions by partnering with Actuarial, Underwriting, Legal, Claims, and IT; ensures regulatory, compliance, and quality standards (coordination with ISO, NCCI, state regulators); drives high-quality product updates with cross-functional leadership; represents the product function in enterprise initiatives (pricing tools, claims reviews, training); leverages market insights to support appetite expansion and new product development; provides coaching and onboarding support to junior team members; requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a BachelorA9s degree; preferred CPCU/ARe certifications; hybrid or remote work with in-office 3 days/week near an Hartford office.
Required Qualifications
- BachelorA9s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in product development, underwriting, claims or related roles within commercial casualty insurance
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects without direct authority
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
