Job Summary
Optimize cost for assigned products by developing sourcing strategies, leading contract negotiations, and driving spend consolidation across categories. Manage multi-year category plans, recruit and maintain world-class suppliers, and prepare supplier scorecards and business reviews. Plan, organize, and control all strategic sourcing activities from intent to purchase, while analyzing market conditions to ensure quality, price, and delivery. Proactively establish countermeasures to negative trends and implement risk mitigation strategies to meet annual productivity targets. Negotiate cash and inventory management positions with suppliers and evaluate quotations using appropriate sourcing strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in supply chain or related field
- five (5) years of procurement related experience
- MBA preferred
- CPM (certified purchasing manager) or CPIM (planning and inventory management) certification is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
- Demonstrated understanding of lean principles and demand flow techniques
- Commodity and market expertise with a high level of technical competency
- Project management, problem solving, and supplier management skills
- Must be able to work and effectively communicate with all levels of the company and suppliers
