Job Summary
Define and lead the global Software Asset Management strategy and governance, overseeing the lifecycle of software assets from procurement through retirement. Ensure compliance with vendor licensing agreements by leading audits and managing true-ups while driving cost optimization to eliminate unused licenses. Partner with Procurement, Finance, and IT on licensing strategies, manage vendor relationships for major providers, and implement SAM tools like ServiceNow and Flexera. Provide executive reporting on compliance and cost optimization, aligning licensing strategy with cloud and SaaS environments. This role supports Advanced Energy's precision power and control technologies across semiconductor and industrial manufacturing sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years in Software Asset Management or related discipline
- Experience in global, hybrid IT environments and vendor audits
- Advanced knowledge in software licensing models
- Experience with SAM tools and platforms
- Understanding of enterprise vendor licensing frameworks
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
